Honestly, I find it difficult to believe what Romney says a lot of the time. It seems like he has a plan, but no idea on how to execute it, as we saw in regards to this topic. it's the 21st century and the fact that employment possibilities between genders is still unequal, is ridiculous. When it comes comes to who can do the job better, it should be based on education and qualifications, and not gender. This article not only tells us the truth about these "binders," but also gives us an idea of who Romney really is and where he wants to go with all this, which seems to be not very far.
I really love sorting through the lies of politicians. Finding the incontrovertible facts in between Romney's inane ramblings is becoming a bit of a game for the media these days, and it is fun to watch. I can't believe blatant lies such as these can still command attention. It has been exposed, but a much larger portion of the people who heard the initial lie, will not be able to see the correction. Romney has built his campaign on keeping his supporters ignorant.
I'm not really at all surprised about this, Romney's delivery of the story was rather disinterested to begin with, but to find out that the essential parts of it were fabricated further reinforces my distrust of this man, and my concern over the future we may have if he is elected.
The lies Romney is telling just raises more questions on his honesty. He is willing to say anything and everything that could let him to walk into the office. I don't think Romney was concerned by gender inequality at all. All he wanted to prove was he cares about everything and will bring a change, which I think is really hard to believe.
This was unbelievable! Even though Governor Romney was trying to complement women, I really couldn’t relate. For example, when Governor Romney mentioned that when he asked why there were no female applicants, his staff answered, “Well, these [male applicants] are the people that have the qualifications." Repeating that there were no qualified female applicants is a terrible thing to say on national television! What makes it even more terrible is that his story was not true! According to the article, Governor Romney was presented with a binder full of qualified female applicants by the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus. The article also mentions, he gave the positions he really did not care about to women. This may be a bold statement, but I really don't think Governor Romney cares about women rights issues as much as his opponent.
