The protests in Hong Kong show no sign of abating. The students, identifying themselves as Hong Kongers, want China to allow Hong Kong more freedom. Note that older people are not protesting.
Occupy Hong Kong Protesters Is Getting Serious — Meaning It Could Get Ugly - Business Insider
To know a protest like this happening in Asia, I could not be more excited. For a long time, the youth never dare to stand up against the political system. The center and leader of this democracy movement is Joshua Wong, a 17-year-old student, a slight teenager with heavy rectangular glasses and a bowl cut hair. How could a 17-year-old kid have such a power above the ocean of protesters? This means the youth demand a political shifts and their voices to be heard. I really hope the protest will bring in a great outcome, instead of a social turmoil like Arab Spring movement.
